Catholic Ace is on a mission to help inspire Christian discipleship through knowledge and understanding of Sacred Scripture. Jesus said in the Gospel of John if we remain in his word, we will know the truth and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32).
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; he has come to his people and set them free. He has raised up for us a mighty savior, born of the house of his servant David. Luke 1:68-69
When I was going through RCIA, I had a vivid dream of the Apostles standing on top of a hill of grass on a sunny day. The apostles were wearing fighter pilot uniforms. One of the apostles pointed up at the sky to God. Then they proceeded to get in their jets.
Their jets began to take off, and I woke up! I remember I had a poster of two fighter jets on my bedroom wall while I was growing up. Providence? I must admit, much of my life has been one engaged in spiritual combat. I love my rosary! Our Blessed Mother’s rosary is my sword, and the quiet strength of St. Joseph is my shield.
Catholic Ace is on a mission for Jesus.
When a fighter pilot is given a mission, the pilot is focused to complete the mission. Catholic Ace believes there is a spiritual pilot in each and every one of us. Life itself can be an ongoing battle and struggle. Catholic Ace’s mission is to help you win your battles in life through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 16:16).
Consider the words of St. Paul in his New Testament letter to the Ephesians.
Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-17
Life is certainly more technologically advanced than it was in St. Paul’s day. But in regards to spiritual warfare it is still the same. In Ephesians 6:18 St. Paul advises us to persevere in prayer at all times because our enemy is relentless and hostile to God and us. Catholic Ace believes the best way to know and love Jesus is participation in the Sacraments, in daily prayer, in studying his Word in the Holy Bible, and in doing good deeds loving one another just as Jesus loves us. We are called to Ace the Faith +
“To put on the armor of God is to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Called truth and righteousness, our Savior is our belt and our breastplate. Called the living Word of God, he is the sword who is sharp on both sides.” + St. Jerome
The mission of Catholic Ace is dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth: Jesus, Mary and Joseph. We are all called and blessed to imitate the example of the Holy Family.
And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man. Luke 2:52
